Last Thursday I went with two of my friends, Elizabeth and Sarah, to the Rascal Flatts concert at the Delta Center. We had soooo much fun! Any excuse to bring out the cowboy hat…

They had an awesome stage! We were up in the nosebleed section, but it was great because we had plenty of room around us, and still had a great view.

And of course, I couldn’t help myself, I just had to buy a t-shirt….

It feels like we’ve been celebrating Halloween for a week now! Last Friday, a group of our friends all got together to carve pumpkins. I carved “BEWARE” on a sign. I have to admit that it wasn’t as successful as I was hoping. But it was a good warm up.
On Tues, we went up to Morgan to celebrete Halloween the Smith’s way. Joseanne’s family invited us to come up and eat delicious white chili, a caramel apple, and to carve some pumpkins. Elizabeth and I carved a pirate (that we named Jack), and a puppy dog (that we named Jose). We now have a line of pumpkins outside of our front door! While we were up there, I randomly got the chance to drive some heavy machinery. Joseanne’s parents are doing some work on their driveway, so there is a big Cat parked by their house. The construction worker was super nice and let us get in and take it for spin. I started to consider a career change….

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!

Last night for our FHE we went to Hee-Haw’s Corn Maze out in Pleasant Grove. We did the first phase of the corn maze pretty quick (but we did stop to take some pics along the way!). After we finished the regular corn maze, we took a tractor ride over to another field where they have a Haunted Forest. Needless to say, my throat is a little sore today. They had not just one, but three men with chainsaws! Poor Elizabeth ended up on the ground at one point from trying to run away. I twisted my ankle when my friend Carolyn and I bumped into each other trying to get away. It made for a very exciting night!
The most random part of the night for me was being lassoed, chased, and surprised. This guy kept chasing me around trying to get me with a lasso. He is the same guy that dumped me in a pool over the summer when I had all my dry clothes on. And he’s also the one that bites (random story that I might tell you if you ever want to know!).
I was also a target for one of our friends because, for some reason, I tend to jump when people sneak up behind me. Once he figured that out, I had to start watching my back! Overall it was a great night! We have a good ward with a lot of good friends. Here are some pics from our night of fun!

Last week, Elizabeth, Kaysie and I decided to head up to the canyon and hike Stewart Falls. It was beautiful! The weather was perfect and the trees were all different colors. The Timpanogos track team was running the trail at the same time. I thought about joining them for a whole second, and then remembered that I have no coordination and would probably break my ankle if I tried. But here are some pics from our hike.

On Saturday, me and the girls headed up to Salt Lake for the General Relief Society Meeting at the Conference Center. There were about 15 of us from our ward that went up together. We went down to the Gateway for dinner, and then walked around Temple Square before and after the broadcast. We had great seats, right smack in the middle. I always forget how amazing it is to be at those meetings. The whole First Presidency was there, and it was the first time that I’ve been to one with Pres. Monson as the prophet. If any of you haven’t listened to the broadcast yet, I really recommend it. It makes me really excited for Conference this weekend!

Well….As you can tell, I haven’t updated my blog in awhile. I wish I had a good excuse, but I’ll just tell you now that it has been a crazy few months. I think things are finally starting to come together again. This year we had a group of friends that decided to buy tickets to the BYU football games together. There are about 15-20 of us that get together and go to the games. It has been an awesome season so far, but I have to admit that Elizabeth and I usually end up leaving a few minutes early because we start to get really bored by the end. When you’re beating a team by more than 40 pts, you just start to feel bad for them….

They’re trying to talk me into the face paint…we’ll see about that.

I shouldn’t admit this, but I took part in some bellydancing activities this summer (probably not what you are thinking!). One of my friends has been taking for years and they had her teach it for Enrichment over the summer. I’m just glad that I couldn’t see myself. I’m sure it looked even worse than I thought it did! The pic of the sunset was taken at a bellydancing concert that Elizabeth, Joseanne, and I went to in support of our friend. I decided that night that I wouldn’t change my career just yet!

For Elizabeth’s birthday this year, we hosted a luau. It was crazy as we had about 50 people in and out of our house, but we had a lot of fun! We even had a special guest that attended our party…..

Yes, our friend Andrew is dressed as a banana!!

Over the summer I got to go see the Drowsy Chaperone. It was a fun broadway play featuring Jonathan Crombie (Gill-Anne of Green Gables). Christine, Elizabeth, and I went and had a great time! Kellie, I know how much you wanted the soundtrack, so I’ll make sure and get you a copy!

I finally got some pics that I could post from our family vacation at the beginning of June. We drove up to Long Beach, WA, and spent a week at a beach house just off of the coast. It rained a lot, but we still had a lot of fun. We had everyone there-all 14 of us. And we still loved each other when all was said and done.
The hardest part was the drive, which ended up being about 16 hrs one way. Luckily we stayed in Boise both ways to break it up a little bit. My favorite part was probably the mopeds. We rented some bikes to ride around in Long Beach. We tried riding them on the beach, but the sand was too wet and soft. Eventually we switched to roads so we could ride a little faster. So here are some pics from our week of adventures.

I’ve been lucky enough to live in such a great ward. We’ve done a lot of fun these for the six months that I’ve lived there. One of our great activities was a couple of weeks ago at Soldiers Hollow. We got to go sledding for a couple of hours. It was really, really, really cold, but I loved it! I got thrown into the tubes a couple of times (as you can see….), but I still had a great time. I have to admit that I didn’t win any of the races, but I came pretty darn close!
Kellie was nice enough to lend me her hot snowpants and coat, so that I wouldn’t look like a dork!

Another one of our activities was ice skating at the Peaks Arena. I haven’t skated in years, so I got up my courage for the activity and actually did really well. I didn’t even fall once! I think I’ve found a new hobby. Well…..we’ll see about that. I’m not sure I liked it that much!

A couple of weeks ago, I got ran away from this weather for a few days and hung out in sunny California. I could make you all jealous by saying that the weather was fairly warm, I got to hang out on the beach, and I got to visit the Mouse for a few days. But it wasn’t without our share of adventures. While we were messing around on the beach, the keys to our rental car jumped out of Joseanne’s pocket and somehow washed away in the ocean. We were lucky that her parents were there and were able to help us get another rental car while the first one was sent to a locksmith to make a new key. I hope that is one adventure that I will never have again. As for the rest of the trip….Well let me show you.
This picture was taken while we waited for the new Finding Nemo submarine ride. Needless to say, it is not one of my favorites; but it was definitely worth the experience.
We were crazy enough to go to the Princess breakfast at Ariel’s Grotto. We felt right at home.
This is where we stayed in Newport Beach. We walked down to the beach several times, and even had Coconut Macademia Pancakes at their restaurant/bungalow right on the beach. It was a lot of fun!
